From meeting with the Gaithersburg Officials to winning the Joe Howard Award, Eco MoCo has been working hard to fight for a more environmentally friendly Montgomery County and to empower youth in environmental advocacy. This year EcoMoCo is offering two $250 scholarships for MCPS seniors who are involved in environmental advocacy and plan on achieving a higher education. The money awarded by the scholarship can be used to cover any college related investments such as tuition, room and board, books, dorm necessities, and text books. Because of how stressful and complicated applying to scholarship can be, the ReGeneration Scholarship was created with the intention of making it easier and more streamlined for MCPS seniors to fund their future education. The scholarship was organized with the tremendous help of Eco MoCo Public Relations Director Zoe Lee who worked hard with Eco MoCo to provide this opportunity for MCPS seniors. The application for the scholarship is due on February 28th, 2026, and the scheduled announcement (as of the date time of this blog's publication) for the scholarship winners will be on March 31, 2026. All MCPS seniors who are involved in environmental advocacy are encouraged to apply!
