Eco MoCo had its second meeting of the 2024-2025 season on August 24th, and it was a fantastic session filled with updates and brainstorming! Our meeting kicked off with updates from our awesome officers. Peter Boyko, our co-president, shared his summer adventures in Switzerland and updated us on our ongoing projects. Lumina Zhang is ready for senior year and working hard to secure grants for exciting initiatives. Marshall Friedman brought in some great news about receiving 65 applications for MoCo Wild, another initiative! Jill Parreno is working on her college applications and had a fun West Coast tour over the summer.

During the meeting, we covered a range of topics. Each officer shared what their department is up to, from the communications team working on our newsletter to finance planning for upcoming fundraisers, like a walkathon and a clothing drive. We’re preparing for our second trash pick-up in collaboration with the Clean Waters Club at Winston Churchill. Eco MoCo held presentations at local libraries with the authors of “A Better Home” and more!

A big shoutout to Yiren and Rudrojas, our Members of the Month! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. Let’s keep up the fantastic progress! We’ll see you all next month, and we can’t wait to share more updates.
